The experimental film Chelsea Girls, was Andy Warhol's first commercial success and opened the door for the wider distribution of other underground films. With music by the Velvet Underground, Chelsea Girls offers an unblinking look into the lives of Warhol's retinue of "superstars" in their various rooms in the notorious Chelsea Hotel -- the legendary home for writers, artists and bohemians.
